Maya Angelou once said, “people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This quote has resonated with me throughout my career as a registered nurse and as a nurse practitioner. I believe an individual’s physical, emotional, and psychosocial health is our most valuable possession. It is important to me to meet my patient’s where they are as individuals on their personal health journey while working together to determine the best plan of care to maintain optimal health or to improve health. My favorite aspect of being a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner is getting to know my patient’s and using a holistic approach to help individuals reach their health goals.
